Play Therapy for Children
Play is how children act out feelings, practice skills, and connect with others. Kids haven’t yet learned to understand or talk about their feelings. Play therapy is a direct way of connecting with them.
Pictured above is a sand tray, used with figurines to “play out” metaphors of feelings, problems, goals or successes in life. I also have art materials and many other toys and games to play. Play unlocks the unconscious and takes you wherever you need to go, if you let it.
Best of all, kids love play therapy! And I really love working with kids.
